In a Blog entry, De Icaza states that Moonlight1.0 is feature complete, and has passed all of Microsoft’s regression testing, and comes with support for Microsoft’s Media Pack for both 32bit and 64bit architectures. Silverlight has already been used during the Olympic Games and President Obama’s inauguration for streaming those events across the internet. Moonlight is the open source implementation of Microsoft’s Silverlight technology, a framework similar to Adobe’s Flash. Novell’s Miguel de Icaza has announced on his blog that Moonlight has hit the 1.0 milestone.
